Sleep issues, anxiousness, and low mood are symptoms. They are like the proverbial “check engine” light on your car’s dashboard indicating that something is wrong. If ignored, these warnings can lead to worse symptoms and finally break down.

Treating the symptom doesn’t address the real, underlying problem. You could put a piece of tape across the “check engine” light, suppressing the symptom. Now that pesky light won’t bother you anymore. Problem solved…or is it? Many medications are aimed at suppressing symptoms. Natural remedies can also do this, if not applied correctly.

So how do you address the problem instead of covering the symptoms? It can be a tricky process to figure out.

Sleep issues, anxiousness, and low mood all exacerbate each other, which makes it hard to pinpoint where the problem originates. Additionally, these symptoms trap the person in what feels like an inescapable, downward spiral.

There are many reasons why a person can’t sleep, or feels anxious, or struggles with low mood and hopelessness. These can range from pathogen or parasite exposure, trapped traumas, weakened immune system, toxins, poor digestion, hormone imbalances, poor diet, food sensitivities, lifestyle choices, or misaligned muscles or bones.

Often there is a combination of reasons that contribute to a person’s health challenges. It takes a health detective to figure out the puzzle and put the pieces in order. This is what I do using questionnaires, lab testing, and my twenty years of experience in the alternative health care field.
